Terms and Conditions for Holiday Rental
Flat 6 The Gables, Victoria Avenue, Swanage, Dorset, BH19 1AN.
1. Flat 6 is part of a holiday apartment block, but we are totally independent and any queries should be directed to Jean & John McGiffen – telephone 01628 666595 or 078107 58328, contact us via
email.
2. A non refundable deposit of 20% is payable at the time of booking, the balance to be paid one month before the letting period commences. If a booking is made within one month of the commencement of the holiday, the full amount of the holiday rental should be made at the time of booking.
3. Once the deposit has been paid, we will send written confirmation of the booking and information including directions and arrangements for key collection / return etc.
4. In the event that you cancel the holiday after written confirmation has been received, the holiday rental fee is still payable. However, we will endeavour to re-let the accommodation, and if successful, the amount paid will be refunded to you.
5. The flat will be available at 14.00 hours on the day when the holiday is to commence and must be vacated by 10.30 on the day of departure. Changeover days are normally Saturday unless otherwise agreed at time of booking.
6. One marked car parking space at the rear of the apartment block is provided exclusively for guests’ use for the duration of their stay at the flat.
7. Duvets and pillows are provided at the flat, but guests are asked to bring their own sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases and towels.
8. Television, video, mini stereo, various board games, books and some beach equipment are provided at the flat for guests’ use. Please leave these in the condition they were found for the benefit of other guests.
9. The flat inventory must be checked on arrival, and Jean or John notified within 24 hours if incomplete in any way, as missing or broken items must be replaced or paid for by the guest responsible.
10. In consideration of other guests, our policy for the flat is no smoking and no pets.
11. Guests are asked to be considerate of the neighbours and keep noise to an acceptable level.
12. Refuse and recycle bins are provided at the car parking area to the rear of the apartment block, and guests are requested to leave the flat reasonably clean and tidy when leaving.
